Kvela is a course for learning Georgian. By using it you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose, and if something here seems unreasonable, write to us.

You may use the course to learn, personally and non-commercially. Please do not scrape or bulk-download the course content, resell or redistribute it, or attempt to break the site or reach parts of it that are not yours.

The alphabet and your first 250 words are free and need no account. An account is optional but recommended: it backs up your progress and lets it follow you between devices. A paid subscription, which needs an account, opens the rest of the course.

Signing in uses a link sent to your email address, so there is no password to lose. Keep access to that inbox, because whoever can read it can reach your account.

You can delete your account and everything stored with it from the settings page. That removes your cloud copy; the progress saved in your own browser stays until you clear it.

The course text, illustrations, audio and the arrangement of the material belong to Kvela LLC, except for third-party material used under licence. Anything you write in the feedback form, you allow us to use to improve the course.

The course is built and maintained with care, and reviewed by a native Georgian speaker, but language material can still contain errors. Nothing here is a substitute for a teacher, and we make no guarantee of any particular result from using it. If you spot a mistake, the feedback button on any card is the fastest way to tell us.

The subscription costs $9.99 per month and renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your settings, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

We refund your first payment in full if you ask within 14 days. The full policy, including what happens to your progress after a subscription ends, is on the refunds and cancellation page.

Prices may change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you by email before a change affects your renewal. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

The course is provided as it is, without warranty. We may change, interrupt or discontinue any part of it. If we discontinue a paid plan you have paid for, we refund the unused portion.

Your progress is saved in your own browser, and an account adds a cloud backup of it. Both copies can fail, so the export button on the settings page is worth using now and then. It works on every plan.

To the extent the law allows, Kvela LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the course.

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially affects a paid subscriber, we will say so by email rather than only changing this page.

These terms are governed by the law of New York.
